Annual Woodie Camp

First Full Week in August

Woodie Camp

Woodie Camp is a week-long youth camp for boys and girls ages 13-15. The only requirement is to have completed their Firearms Safety Training and an interest in the out of doors.
There is NO Cost to attend this unique camp.

Woodie Camp is located in Fergus Falls at the Prairie Wetlands Learning Center (PWLC). The PWLC is nestled on the south reaches of the city of Fergus Falls, along the border of the Prairie Pothole Ecoregion. This over 325 rolling acre tract is blanketed with northern tallgrass prairie and speckled with 28 wetlands. The PWLC strives to fulfill a primary mission of waterfowl and wetland production. The fulfillment of these goals affords a superb stage for environmental education. The PWLC is unique in that it is the first residential environmental facility operated by the USFWS. The FFFGC is excited to be able to take advantage of this great resource and to help introduce young people to the great outdoors.
